Refund Policy
The short version
We don’t offer routine refunds, but you can cancel anytime and won’t be charged again. We will issue a refund in narrow, specific situations described below. We’d rather solve a real problem than have you stuck paying for something that doesn’t work for you, so reach out before you dispute a charge.
1. Cancellation
You can cancel your subscription anytime from the Billing page or by writing to hello@closethetrade.com. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You retain access to paid features until then.
2. Free tier
The free tier is permanent and lets you evaluate the core product before paying. There’s no separate trial period; you can use the free tier indefinitely.
3. Monthly subscriptions
Monthly subscription fees are non-refundable. If you cancel mid-month, you retain access through the end of the current billing period and will not be charged again.
4. Annual subscriptions
Annual subscription fees are eligible for a prorated refund within the first 14 days of purchase if you have used fewer than 5 voice memos and fewer than 10 AI trade analyses since subscribing. After 14 days or higher usage, annual subscriptions are non-refundable; you retain access for the remainder of the billing period.
5. Service failures
If the Service experiences a material outage attributable to us (not a third-party provider) lasting more than 48 consecutive hours, you may request a service credit equal to the prorated value of the affected period. Email us with the affected dates within 30 days.
6. Duplicate or accidental charges
If you were charged in error (duplicate billing, charged after canceling, etc.), email us within 60 days and we’ll refund the affected charge to your original payment method.
7. How to request a refund
Email hello@closethetrade.com with:
- The email associated with your account
- The date and amount of the charge in question
- A short description of the situation
We respond within 3 business days. Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method and may take 5–10 business days to appear on your statement.
8. Chargebacks
Please contact us before disputing a charge with your bank. Most issues are resolvable in a single email. Initiating a chargeback without first contacting us may result in account suspension, and we may present documentation of usage to defend the charge.
